GoCloud Demo Day – A Success!

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

GoCloud held a demo day at the new Premier Inn, Hull on the 12th of November. We saw a mix of service and manufacturing sectors throughout the day with positive feedback coming from everyone involved.

The concept of cloud computing and Hosted Desktops is of real appeal to SME’s and more people are seeing the cost savings that can be made by moving to a utility computing model.

Our next demo day is on the 4th of December, if you would like to book yourself a place to experience cloud computing first hand and have any questions answered please book yourself a slot.

GoCloud namechecked by Charles Arthur

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

The GoCloud team attending Hull Digital Live where pleased to hear GoCloud’s name mentioned by the Technology Editor of The Guardian, Charles Arthur during his morning presentation.

Charles enlightened the HDLive audience as to how to engage successfully with the media. He said that traditional press releases really don’t work any more. He went on to say that Twitter and blogs were very important indicators to journalists as to what topics are trending or in people’s minds.

But, Charles Arthur said that his primary source of information was talking to people: he then mentioned speaking to GoCloud about hosted desktops. Our technical director, Matt Nunns was part of the group that welcomed the Hull Digital Live speakers over dinner last night and had obviously made a favourable impression on Mr Arthur.

GoCloud will have a stand at tomorrow’s Hull Digital Live ‘09 event at the KC Stadium in Hull. Please come over and have a word with the guys if you are attending.

We understand the event is already sold out, which is understandable as the organiser, Jon Moss, has lined up speakers such as Rory Cellan-Jones (BBC), Charles Arthur (The Guardian), Anand Verma, Jaan Orvet, Kai Gait, Mark Rock, Mike Butcher, Rob Palmer, and Stuart McFarlane.

Come and see us at Beverley Racecourse today!

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

GoCloud have a stand at the East Yorkshire Business Expo at Beverley Racecourse today.

The event is B2B but entry and parking are free. The Expo is open between 9am and 6pm.

Our technical and sales directors, Matt Nunns and Chris Gooding, will be on the GoCloud stand to answer any questions you may have about cloud computing, hosted desktops or how they may benefit your business.

We’ll also be taking bookings for hands-on demos of the GoCloud hosted desktop in action.

Although the GoCloud hosted desktop may sound a technical service please come along for a chat, even if you consider yourself a little “IT-challenged” :-) I’ll be happy to explain the important bit to you – how your business will benefit financially – in a completely non-technical, jargon-free way! There’ll be no hard sell either – just an invite to try a hands-on demo, if you’re interested.

Hope we’ll see you all there.

Chris Hudson

We’re off to the East Yorkshire Business Expo!

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

GoCloud will have a stand at the second East Yorkshire Business Expo that is being held at Beverley Racecourse tomorrow, between 9am and 6pm.

This business-to-business event has free entry and parking, here are the full details: http://ow.ly/rORd

Please come along and say hello to us at the GoCloud stand.

You can ask any questions you may have about cloud computing, remote virtual hosted desktops or how they may benefit your business. You may even book a demo for later in October.

Our technical and sales directors, Matt and Chris, will be on the stand to field your questions.

I will too (another Chris!) but I’m a non-techie, so if you’d like to ask about the business benefits of hosted desktops rather than the technical side of them feel free to come and chat to me and I’ll answer any questions in layman’s terms, no technical jargon guaranteed!

Hope to see you all there.
